The latest study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that participants involved in the 6-month research trial who consumed the equivalent of one cup of blueberries a day had heart health improvements.
Researchers from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health conducted the study.
Conclusions from the study showed that consuming the equivalent of 1 cup of blueberries a day could result in 12-15% reductions in cardiovascular disease risk. Blueberries should be included in dietary strategies to reduce individual and population cardiovascular disease risk.
