Sujon Blackcurrant Hot Toddy

If you are coming down with a cold you should try this soothing recipe.



Hot Toddy's are believed to help relieve the symptoms of the cold and flu. This drink is so delicious and naturally packed full of Vitamin C, it will get you back on your feet in no time.


This recipe is family friendly being alcohol free but if you desire you can add a splash of Whisky or Rum.


To make the Sujon Hot Toddy


You will need:

2 cups of Sujon frozen Blackcurrants or 3 teaspoons of Sujon Blackcurrant Powder

1/2 peeled and sliced Lemon

1/2 peeled and sliced Orange

2 Tbsp. Honey

8 Cloves

2 cups of boiling water


Method:

Bring all of the ingredients to boil and simmer for 2 minutes.

Leave to cool slightly before putting into large cups - can be mixed with water to taste.


This recipe once made can also be kept in the fridge for 10 days. The Hot Toddy can also be used in a dessert or with cereal/porridge and yoghurt in the morning.
